Project Loftus from concept to completion

If you’re considering a backyard (or front yard) redesign, then this is the blog for you. Because if you’re anything like me, you want to go into your projects with as much information as possible.

A landscape design is an important step in the creation of outdoor spaces that focus not only on being really bloody beautiful, but also give a noteworthy nod to a level of functionality and longevity that will see you getting the most out of your surrounds for years to come.

Home time is important. We’ve never felt this more than we do these days. Let me take you on a walk through the design process for our recent project in Loftus.

It starts with a blank canvas and a really great chat.

You’ve done the right thing and given us a call. We’ve had a chat about what you’re after, packaged it up into a fee proposal and you’ve accepted. The next thing we’ll do is visit you onsite. During this site inspection, we’ll get to know you and your aspirations for the space. We’ll align your dreams with the site and it’s ability to be transformed into what it is your after. We’ll take some photos, write a bunch of things down and start to imagine the possibilities.

Feel the vibe and watch as we begin to design your surrounds.

By this time, we love your space as much as you do. We went back to the office and debriefed on the information collected on site - we emailed you over a return brief which captured all things discussed and you approved it. We’ve now moved well and truly into the design phase and ready to present you with your first concept design. This set of plans will be accompanied by a mood board of materials and plants to give you an idea of where we're headed visually. The plans will be presented in 2D and we’ll have booked a chat to go over it all with you.

Once you’re happy with how your designs are looking we’ll move through to the final stage of the design process.

Are you a visual person? Let us present your design in 3D.

Sometimes a 2D plan just doesn’t cut it. I totally get it. As we near the end of the design process, it’s often really helpful to produce a 3D render of the space. These are artists impressions; they’ll never have the same amount of detail as your 2D plan and please don’t take the interpretation as gospel. They are for look and feel and to support you in your decisions as you progress through the process. Gosh they look pretty though, don’t they?

Landscape design complete!

Your beautiful design is now complete, you’ve been issued your final plans with all the required detail and you’re ready to take it into the next stage. Whether that’s sourcing approvals or engaging a contractor to commence the build, we’ll keep you on top of what’s next.

Project Loftus was handed over to our friends at Cronulla Pools and went into construction of the pool and landscaping - the result is stunning.

It takes a village to build these gorgeous spaces.
